5 Flavor Pound Cake

A 5 flavor pound cake recipe. Pair with ice cream or eat it alone. You can switch any flavor for flavors you enjoy.

Ingredients
  

Cake Mixer

  • 1 Cup Butter Room Temp (Optional)
  • ½ Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 5 Eggs Room Temp (Optional)
  • 3 Cups White Sugar
  • 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ Tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tsp Coconut extract
  • 1 Tsp Butter Flavoring
  • 1 Tsp Rum extract
  • 1 Tsp Lemon extract
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla extract

Glaze

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Water
  • 1 Tsp Coconut extract
  • 1 Tsp Butter flavoring
  • 1 Tsp Rum extract
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 Tsp Almond extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
    Grease and flour Bundt pan.
  • Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt.
  • In a bowl or stand mixer, cream butter, oil and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in flour mixture alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well.
    Stir in 1 teaspoon each of extracts and flavoring.
    Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Check cake after 1 hour with a toothpick. A little left on the toothpick is okay, the cake will continue to cook while resting.

Glaze

  • In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and 1 teaspoon each coconut flavoring, butter flavoring, rum extract, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
    Boil until the sugar has dissolved completely.
  • spoon over HOT cake.
    Cool. Enjoy!
